The veterinary examination in detail.
At Dream Cavalier, all puppies visit our veterinarian at around 6 weeks of age. During this clinical examination, he will examine the puppies from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail.
He will auscultate:

-
The abdomen.
-
Genitals.
-
Ears.
-
The eyes.
-
Snout.
-
The teeth.
-
The gums.
-
The anus.
-
Fur.
-
The fontanel.
-
Joints.
Also, the veterinarian will weigh the puppy, take its temperature and vaccinate it for the 4 basic diseases, which are:
-
Distemper
-
Parvovirus
-
Hepatitis
-
Parainfluenza
And finally, the veterinarian will inject an electronic microchip for identification.
What exactly is a microchip?
The microchip is a very small capsule, about the size of a grain of rice, implanted under the puppy's skin by our veterinarian, using a special syringe. It has a long unique identification number that can only be detected using a reader (scanner) that is passed over the animal's shoulder. This number is linked to a national register where you can find all the information about the animal and its owner. Unlike a medal, the writing of which may change over time, the microchip cannot be erased and it is impossible to misplace it. If your dog runs away and is not wearing a collar or identification tag, the reading of a microchip by a municipality, a police department, a shelter or a veterinary establishment,_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_ will allow you to be found quickly. But contrary to popular belief, the microchip does not contain any tracking system. (GPS)
